Japanese Earthquakes, 4 Quakes and Mt. Fuji Smoke January 27 to January 28, 2012

Fukushima Diary is reporting that 4 M5 classed earthquakes hit Japan's eastern shores in 2 hours.

Additionally, observers reported seeing two steam streams rising from the sides of Mount Fuj. There were additional reports of hearing a bromtide, or noise associated with seismic activity. According to the account, the Japanese government has downplayed any connection to the earthquakes and the Mount Fuji steam streams. One poster noted this announcement from the Japanese government, rather than quell worries, has increased them, after the government lies about the severity of radiation at Fukushima.

Fukushima Diary also includes a report and photos of Japanese citizens protesting the government's attempt to remove a nuclear tent in front of government offices. The protesters include a farmer, who wants to remain with his cattle and farm, despite the high levels of radiation. He wants scientists to study the effects and amount of radiation, rather than force him to abandon his animals and the farm he has tended for years.
