Coal Dumped in Georgia Strait, by Fraser Delta, Vancouver, British Columbia, by Ship Docking at Westshore Terminals. Saturday December 08, 2012, as published by the Vancouver Sun.

British Columbia received an unwanted pre-Christmas delivery of unearned coal, legendary as being given to people who have been naughter. The coal arrived not from a vengeful Santa Claus, but from a ship's docking run amok. The incident left the Westshore Terminals in Roberts Bank in shambles, with a downed conveyor system, only a small berth with the larger one decimated, and George Strait receiving an unscheduled shipment of coal poured into its waters.

"The mishap has put the berth out of service for an indefinite period of time, affected the port’s ability to export coal, disrupted customer deliveries and caused a yet-to-be-determined effect on the waters off the Fraser delta."
